LAMP Detection of Virus-Derived DNA of Zika Virus in Vector Mosquito

چکیده
Detection of infectious viruses in mosquitoes is one the prerequisite measures to monitor prevalence vector-borne viral diseases. Determining which are currently infected with arboviruses such as Zika, dengue, and chikungunya virus not yet practical endemic areas due multiple causes including difficulty dealing virus’ unstable RNA. In this study, instead handling RNA, virus-derived DNA (vDNA) was introduced a target template for nucleic acid amplification. combination loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), we examined LAMP-based vDNA detection assay (vDNA-LAMP) targeting Zika (ZIKV). The vDNA-LAMP reaction amplifying part NS3 region ZIKV successfully detected its from crude purified artificially cultured cells Aedes mosquitoes. This rapid, simple, versatile method may provide promising field-surveillance arbovirus circulation via vector

Virus-derived DNA drives mosquito vector tolerance to arboviral infection
Mosquitoes develop long-lasting viral infections without substantial deleterious effects, despite high viral loads. This makes mosquitoes efficient vectors for emerging viral diseases with enormous burden on public health. How mosquitoes resist and/or tolerate these viruses is poorly understood. Here we show that two species of Aedes mosquitoes infected with two arboviruses from distinct famili...
متن کاملDetection of Herpes Simplex Virus DNA in Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome
Background: Pseudoexfoliation syndrome is one of the most common identifiable causes of open angle glaucoma. It has unknown etiology and pathogenesis. Infection, possibly viral, is one of the proposed pathogenic mechanisms in this condition. In the present study the presence of herpes simplex virus (HSV) in specimens of anterior lens capsule of patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome has been ...
متن کاملDetection of Zika virus using reverse-transcription LAMP coupled with reverse dot blot analysis in saliva
In recent years, there have been increasing numbers of infectious disease outbreaks that spread rapidly to population centers resulting from global travel, population vulnerabilities, environmental factors, and ecological disasters such as floods and earthquakes. Some examples of the recent outbreaks are the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-Co) i...

متن کاملDetection of Zika Virus in Urine
We describe the kinetics of Zika virus (ZIKV) detection in serum and urine samples of 6 patients. Urine samples were positive for ZIKV >10 days after onset of disease, which was a notably longer period than for serum samples. This finding supports the conclusion that urine samples are useful for diagnosis of ZIKV infections.
